JENNIFER ACKERMAN at the ORINDA LIBRARY

June 18 @ 2:00 PM

From the New York Times bestselling author of The Genius of Birds and The Bird Way, a brilliant scientific investigation into owls and why they exert such a hold on human imagination. Jennifer Ackerman has been writing about science and nature for more than three decades, and her new book -- on sale June 13, 2023 -- explores the biology, behavior, and conservation of owls. She brings this research alive with her own personal field observations about owls and dives deep into why these birds beguile us. This event is being held in partnership with Golden Gate Raptor Observatory, and a portion of book sales will benefit their research program.
