Join us in celebrating the release of Joe Di Prisco's newest book. My Last Resume: New and Collected Poems, which showcases an exquisite body of poetry spanning more than five decades. While Joseph Di Prisco, a true Renaissance man, has achieved success across genres, his lifetime of work showcased in the long-awaited My Last Resume is proof that, for Joe, it's always been poetry. This will be his fourth book of poetry. He's also published six novels and two memoirs.
In 2015 Di Prisco founded the not-for-profit New Literary Project (NewLit) in partnership with the University of California, Berkeley, English Department. NewLit offers writing workshops free of charge to teenage writers, invests in creative writers who teach high school, and supports mid-career authors via the annual Joyce Carol Oates Prize, which Joe directs.
Matthew Zapruder is the author of five collections of poetry, most recently Father’s Day, as well as two books of prose: Why Poetry and Story of a Poem. He is editor-at-large at Wave Books, where he edits contemporary poetry, prose, and translations. From 2016-17 he held the annually rotating position of Editor of the Poetry Column for the The New York Times Magazine, and was the Editor of Best American Poetry 2022. He teaches in the MFA in Creative Writing program at Saint Mary’s College of California.
