The Del Rey Community Coalition is a new, parent-led committee aimed at promoting and celebrating our community's diverse and inclusive culture. Together with the Parents Clubs at each of Orinda’s elementary schools, they have launched a monthly book club aimed at sharing diverse stories, across varied themes, that students can enjoy.
Parents and teachers from the Acalanes Union High School District have launched a new effort to build awareness and understanding of issues related to race and inclusion. Orinda Books is pleased to partner with the schools on this project and will donate a portion of the proceeds from the sales of each month’s selection to a non-profit group addressing issues of race, diversity, and inclusion.
